Want to Get Published Every Week? This Indian Literary Series Has You Covered
In a world racing toward the future, where distraction is currency and silence often drowns the soul, The Great Indian Review offers a timely invitation: “Carpe Verba” — Seize the Words.
This newly launched weekly literary series calls on writers, poets, and artists to embrace the urgency of now — to give voice to thoughts, emotions, and visions that demand to be shared. There is no fixed genre, no age limit, and no word count cap. What matters is authenticity. What matters is the flicker — that elusive moment of insight, memory, or emotion — caught in words before it fades.
This Week’s Theme: Memories
Submissions are now open for the first edition under the evocative theme “Memories.” Contributors are invited to explore personal, collective, or even imagined remembrances in any literary form. From poetry and prose to hybrid expressions and visual art, the stage is wide open. The only rule? Seize the words before they slip away.
Submission Deadline: May 18, 2025
Submissions must be original and unpublished. Submissions should be made through Submission Form only.
More Than Publication — A Showcase of Voices
What sets Carpe Verba apart is its emphasis on author celebration. Selected contributors will receive:
-
A dedicated webpage featuring their published work
-
A Digital Certificate of Publication and Participation
-
A custom author poster
-
Social media endorsements and
Free promotion of their social and web presence
An Ongoing Platform for Literary Urgency
Unlike conventional themed contests or anthology projects, Carpe Verba is an open-ended weekly series, offering continual space for expression — a breathing room for artists who feel the need to speak, and speak now.
The series is presented by The Great Indian Review, under the broader creative umbrella of Writers’ Kalam, a vibrant platform committed to celebrating voices from every corner of the literary world.
As the first theme unfurls, one truth resonates clearly: in the quiet rebellion of expression, in the fire of the written word, in the urgency of memory — Carpe Verba is not just a call to write. It’s a call to live.
